On Sunday May 25, the kiln shed, workshop and glaze kitchen at Red Hill were involved in a fire. The entire structure and all the contents - kilns, tools, pots and raw materials, were destroyed. The woodkiln itself was left standing. We hope to rebuild and return to making pots in 2009. For those interested, we will post updates on the website. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Capt. Smales of the Springville Volunteer Fire Department, as well as to all the men and women from SVFD, and the Elk lake Volunteer Fire Department, who came to our aid, and prevented the blaze from spreading to the surrounding woodland or our house.
